Questions people actually ask

Straight answers, with our customers' reviews as the evidence — including the unflattering ones.

How big is Kitty Kurlz?
It's a compact accordion ring — and here's the honest part: some of the ad footage you've seen shows more than one unit connected together, which is why a few buyers expected bigger. One of our own four-star reviewers, Roy, connected four units to get the size he wanted. Before buying, browse the photo wall — it's full of real-scale shots next to average-sized cats, and nothing there is staged.
Will my cat actually use it?
Most do — the ball-in-track and the scratchable honeycomb hit two instincts at once. But not all: Rachel's Tango prefers a plastic bag, and we publish that review too. A sprinkle of catnip rubbed into the track converts a lot of skeptics (give a cautious cat a week or two with it left still in a familiar spot). If yours still shrugs, returns are easy — just email the store.
How long does it last?
Honest range: gentle cats get many months and use it as a bed as much as a scratcher; determined shredders get less. April's cardboard-chewing giant (six-cat household) destroyed one in about six months — and she's replacing it. Natalie's rough kitten started tearing hers within a month. It's corrugated cardboard on purpose: it takes the beating so your furniture doesn't. When it's destroyed, it did its job.
Are the magnets strong enough? Are they safe?
Yes — they're safe. The magnets are tucked inside the cardboard where a cat can't reach or swallow them; they just hold the ring's shape and let you reshape it or connect units. The closure holds through normal play and opens on purpose when you want to change the shape. Rough multi-kitten wrestling can still pop it open (Roy's review says exactly that), and it holds a little better on carpet than on hard floor.
Does it make a mess?
Some cardboard crumbs, same as any cardboard scratcher — heaviest with enthusiastic shredders. A weekly pass with the vacuum where the toy lives handles it.
Where does it ship from and how long does delivery take?
It ships from within the USA, and most orders arrive in about 4–6 days. If an order ever goes missing, just email the store and they'll track it down, reship, or refund it.
What about returns?
Simple: email the store and they'll sort out a return for you. No forms, no runaround.
Is the cheap “kitty kurlz” on Amazon or Temu the same thing?
No. Those are generic “magic organ” cardboard scratchers, and some use our name in their listing titles. We don't make or sell them. The differences — and where the cheap ones are genuinely fine — are laid out in Kitty Kurlz vs. the knockoffs.
Does it come with catnip?
No — it doesn't ship with catnip, because of USPS shipping regulations. The rattle balls in the track are the built-in draw; for catnip, just add your own — a pinch rubbed into the honeycomb is the classic trick for cautious cats.
